Derby County Community Trust’s recent “For Ewe” Women’s Wellness Event brought together local organisations, wellness practitioners, and over 40 attendees for an evening dedicated to women’s health and wellbeing.

The event, held at Pride Park Stadium, featured interactive sessions including mat Pilates and sound healing, alongside an inspiring keynote address from Sky Sports presenter Hayley McQueen and a marketplace of stalls centred around wellness.
McQueen addressed the audience by sharing her personal journey with endometriosis, a condition affecting millions of women worldwide. Her openness shed light on the challenges of living with the condition, whilst also encouraging attendees to seek support, raise awareness and prioritise their health.
The evening also featured a marketplace of local organisations offering resources and guidance on women’s health, alongside wellness taster sessions designed to help attendees relax and recharge. Light refreshments and opportunities for conversation created an atmosphere where women could connect and share experiences.

Derby County Community Trust’s Women’s Health programme, supported by the Sky Bet EFL Building Foundations Fund, continues to expand by offering opportunities for women to engage in health-focused activities and workshops. The “For Ewe” event marked a significant step in raising awareness of women’s health issues.
The Sky Bet EFL Building Foundations Fund is a long-term initiative that seeks to empower local communities through sports and social inclusion projects. Each season, £1 Million is made available to EFL Club Charities to fund projects that address pressing social issues, such as Women’s Health.
