Vice-captain Ebou Adams is focused on ensuring Derby County ‘put things right’ when they face Middlesbrough at Pride Park Stadium on New Year's Day (3pm kick-off).

The Rams fell to their first defeat in five Sky Bet Championship matches with a 2-1 defeat away at Leicester City last time out to end 2025, but have an immediate opportunity to return to winning ways when high-flying Middlesbrough visit the East Midlands on Thursday to start 2026.
Ahead of the contest, Adams told RamsTV of his desire to respond to Monday’s loss and reward the Derby fans for their loyal support throughout 2025.
We are looking forward to the Middlesbrough game. We want to put things right and the whole team wants to do that as well.
We're going to have to recover quite quickly. Four games in 11 days is a tough turnaround but we're going to get our heads down, keep working hard and hopefully put it right on Thursday.
We just want to win games, because that's what puts a smile on our faces and gives the fans something nice to go home with.
We owe a lot of credit to the fans for coming and supporting us week in, week out. I can hear them throughout the whole 90 minutes, so we've got to keep showing them progress and keep scoring goals. Hopefully we can do that on Thursday.

You tend to forget about them being a Premier League side last year, because you just want to win every game. We have to give ourselves credit, it was a good showing, but it's all about putting the ball in the back of the net and getting those three points.
We scored a very good goal, which shows what we are capable of as a team. If we can carry on creating chances like that, it's up to us to put the ball in the back of the net
We have to keep believing and keep going. The good thing is we've got a game straight away and we have another opportunity to show what we can do.
