Goalkeeper Josh Vickers has penned a new deal with Derby County.

The 30-year-old shot-stopper has committed his future to the Rams, signing a contract that runs until the summer of 2029.
Vickers arrived at Pride Park Stadium from Rotherham United in the summer of 2023 and made 12 appearances in all competitions as Derby were promoted out of League One in 2023/24.
He featured on seven occasions last season and played a vital role when called upon towards the end of the campaign after Jacob Widell Zetterström suffered a concussion in April 2025; Vickers put in four accomplished performances between the sticks for John Eustace’s side.

He made the club’s 2024/25 Save of the Season against West Bromwich Albion in the end-of-season run-in for a miraculous denial of Tom Fellows’ close-range strike, as the Rams won 3-1 at the Hawthorns - a crucial moment in their journey to retaining Championship status.
Prior to suffering a thumb injury in December, Vickers made two further appearances this term – including another impressive showing against the Baggies in the Carabao Cup, where his efforts saw the Rams emerge victorious in a penalty shootout.
