TRANSFER NEWS: Cox Returns From Walsall Loan

Derby County Academy defender Daniel Cox has returned from his loan spell with Sky Bet League Two side Walsall.

The 19-year-old made a total of seven appearances across EFL competitions for the Saddlers, debuting in the first round of the Carabao Cup away at Stoke City in August.

Cox made his first league outing four days later in a 2-1 victory at Barnet, while he also started fixtures against Grimsby Town and Oldham Athletic.

The Wales Under-21 international has also helped Mat Sadler’s side reach the last 16 of the EFL Trophy, completing 90 minutes in wins over Shrewsbury Town, Chelsea Under-21s and Stevenage.

Cox, who has one first-team appearance to his name for Derby, will now return to Moor Farm Training Centre.
