FEATURE: Supporting Level Playing Field’s ‘Unite For Access’ Campaign

Derby County is proud to support Level Playing Field’s Unite for Access 2026 campaign, reinforcing the club’s ongoing commitment to accessibility and inclusion across the matchday experience at Pride Park Stadium.

Accessibility at Derby County is a year-round priority, ensuring that disabled supporters feel visible, valued and fully included. The club works closely with the Disabled Supporters’ Club, chaired by Gary Dempsey, to shape policy, improve facilities and strengthen communication between fans and staff.

In December 2025, our coverage for International Day of Persons with Disabilities showcased our ongoing efforts to make matchdays more accessible, inclusive, and welcoming for every supporter. Read the full article by clicking here.

The next instalment of Our Home, Our Stories series showcases the positive impact of accessible hospitality on matchday. The feature highlights Sharon Everett, one of our wheelchair-using supporters, showing how hospitality spaces like Igor’s Lounge have been transformed, allowing fans to enjoy matchday comfortably and independently.

We are also piloting a reporting tool called iTrust in collaboration with Level Playing Field this weekend for our Sky Bet Championship home fixture against Blackburn Rovers, which helps supporters share feedback and report accessibility issues quickly and easily.

The pilot will be implemented in the North Stand of the stadium using posters.

Please note: the iTrust platform will not be monitored in real time during the match, and supporters with urgent concerns should report them to their nearest steward or use the club’s matchday text service. The iTrust tool will simply be an additional reporting line and will not replace the club’s existing matchday reporting channels.

By collaborating with Level Playing Field, the club can make changes based on expert guidance and feedback from supporters, continuing to make Pride Park a stadium where everyone feels included.

Disability Access Officer, Emma Drury, said “We have proudly supported Level Playing Fields’ Unite for Access campaign for many years, as it plays such an important role in driving accessibility across the game. As a nationwide campaign, it gives clubs the opportunity to share good practice and learn from one another. This year, we wanted to highlight the facilities and services we offer wheelchair users on matchday and recognise the vital role our Disabled Supporters’ Club plays in shaping and strengthening our accessibility work.”

The 2026 ‘Unite for Access’ campaign will run from 28th February through to 15th March.
