Derby County B were defeated 3-1 by Mansfield Town in the English Central League on Tuesday afternoon.

The Rams took to the field for their second Central League clash of 2026, having beaten Chesterfield 3-0 last month.
The Stags had the first chance of the game when Victor Adeboyejo forced a save from Derby goalkeeper Sam Kane in the 14th minute, when the senior striker took a touch in a crowded penalty area and aimed low towards the bottom corner.
TJ Grimes gave Mansfield the lead just before the break, heading in the rebound from Josh Walters’ close-range shot.
Israel Green came near for Derby in the early stages of the second half when he latched onto a scooped pass by Marsel Tola, but the attacker could only see the ball go wide of the mark.
Mansfield extended their lead with TJ Grimes striking again for the Stags.
Jamie Wähling struck back with a sensational free-kick from 25 yards as he curled over the wall and into the bottom right corner.
But Toure Murray regained Mansfield’s two-goal advantage when his first shot from the near post was saved back into his direction, and he steered it home.
