Derby County Under-18s secured a victory against Everton in Premier League - North on Tuesday afternoon.
The Young Rams gained some momentum in the Premier League - North, following a dominant display at Finch Farm.
An Israel Green hat-trick and a Charlie Smith penalty gained three points against the Toffees.
Derby started the game strongly, with Green heading in the opener after just five minutes, following a Kieran Clarke corner.
In the 23rd minute, Smith slotted the ball into the bottom left-hand corner from the spot to extend the Rams’ lead, after a foul in the area by Rocco Lambert on Green.
Derby goalkeeper Spencer O’Neill was called into action twice just five minutes later, saving two attempts from Everton winger Jonathan Nsangou.
It was déjà vu for Bradley Johnson’s side in the 38th minute, as Green headed in again from a corner, to extend the Rams’ lead to three.
Derby held their advantage well throughout the second half, despite the hosts pulling a goal back with 15 minutes remaining through Harry Brookes.
The Rams sealed the victory late on, with Green netting his third of the afternoon with a right-footed effort past Seve Patrick.
