The EFL confirmed the fixture list for the upcoming season at 12pm today.

dcfc.co.uk details the key pieces of information you need to know straight away!

How Will Derby Kick Off the Campaign?

In a change to the opening calendar, Round One of the Carabao Cup will be the first competitive fixture of the 2026/27 schedule – set to be played over the weekend of 7th-9th August 2026.

The Round One Draw will take place live on Sky Sports News at 4.30pm on Thursday 25th June, as part of the EFL’s Fixture Release Day.

The Rams will commence their league campaign with a trip to Charlton Athletic on Saturday 15th August, and will take to the Pride Park pitch for the first time a week later, hosting League One runners-up Cardiff City in DE24 on Saturday 22nd August.

What About the Festive Fixtures?

The Christmas festivities will conclude with an away trip on Boxing Day, as Preston North End await the Rams.

Meanwhile, the New Year will be brought in at Pride Park Stadium, with John Eustace’s side on home turf against Sheffield United on Tuesday 29th December and then hosting Blackburn Rovers on New Year’s Day three days later.

Later in the season, the Easter weekend is fixture-free in 2026/27 as it falls within the March international fixtures window.

How Does the Campaign Conclude?

Derby will, for the fourth consecutive season, complete their league endeavours at Pride Park Stadium – a clash with Premier League-relegated Wolverhampton Wanderers is set to see out the scheduled Championship programme on Saturday 1st May 2027.
