Matchday Safety

DCFC Banner image

We believe that the safety and security of all visitors to Pride Park Stadium is paramount in ensuring that everybody can enjoy matchday. We want everybody to enjoy the game as much as possible, but supporters should be mindful and respectful of other supporters sharing in the matchday experience too.

Matchday Text Service

Whilst it is a rare occurrence at Pride Park Stadium, there are times when the behaviour of other fans may be regarded as unacceptable, you can report directly to Derby County Match Control through our matchday text service.

Start your text with DCFC then type your message to 88440.

Please include as much information as possible including the Stand, Row, and Seat details of where the incident occurred. Your text will be treated in the strictest of confidence as we identify and deal with the perpetrators.

Matchday Safeguarding

If you have any safeguarding concerns, please email the Dedicated Safeguarding Officer at [email protected], or speak to a member of staff.

We have a comprehensive safeguarding strategy, policies, protocols and case management system to prevent abuse and promote the wellbeing of our young people, staff, volunteers and visitors.

Guidance for Adults Bringing Young Fans

The club offers all parents/guardians the opportunity to collect a free-of-charge wristband from Rammie and Ewie’s Activity Zone, located within Harrison's Hub in the North-East Corner, that their child can wear on the day of the game.

Parents/guardians can write their contact details, stand, and seat number on the wristband, and then if their child was to become separated from them or felt unsafe, they could then approach a steward or DCFC member of staff and show their wristband. The steward or staff member will then duly contact parents/guardians.

Medical Emergencies

If a supporter becomes unwell at Pride Park Stadium and requires medical assistance, then we strongly advise that the nearest steward is made aware who will ensure that the crowd medical team is notified, and that appropriate care is provided.

It is also important to note that the responsibilities of the crowd medical teams are separate to the club’s first-team medical team.

For further information, please view our dedicated Medical Emergencies page.

Medicine

If you need to bring essential medication into the stadium, then please email [email protected] or call the Accessible Ticketing and Enquiries Line on 01332 667528.

Fan Behaviour

Supporters are reminded about the importance of adhering to ground regulations and to act responsibly when visiting Pride Park Stadium.

Discriminatory behaviour which threatens the safety of any sector of the fanbase or makes them feel uncomfortable will not be tolerated and the club will seek the strongest sanctions possible, and similarly, entering the pitch without permission, carrying, or using smoke bombs/flares or pyrotechnics, throwing objects, and drug use will not be tolerated.

All identified offenders will be reported by the club to the police and subsequent prosecution could result in a permanent criminal record, which may affect their employment and education, and could result in a prison sentence.

You can also view all prohibited items here.

Persistent Standing: Fans are also reminded that persistent standing, excluding in the stadium’s licensed and designated safe standing areas, is not permitted and supporters will be told to take their seats throughout the game.

Smoking and Vaping: There is no smoking or use of e-cigarettes permitted inside Pride Park Stadium, including concourse level. Anyone in breach of this club policy may find themselves ejected from the stadium.

Safe Standing Information

Derby County Football Club provide licensed standing areas for domestic fixtures.

All supporters wishing to attend domestic fixtures in licensed standing areas are required to comply with this Code of Conduct at all times, and we ask that you read the information below.

This Code of Conduct does not replace any other ground rules but shall include (but not be limited to) the club’s Ticketing Terms and Conditions.

Any non-compliance with this Code of Conduct may result in sanctions being applied, including but not limited to non-admittance or ejection from the stadium and/or the club losing the right to maintain licensed standing areas.

With this in mind, when attending the match in licensed standing areas, please:

  • Always have your ticket available for any necessary secondary ticket checks.
  • Continue to follow the instructions of stewards and other staff, who are there to ensure you remain safe and that everyone has an enjoyable matchday experience.
  • Behave appropriately in the stand and please be respectful to others - anti-social behaviour or any form of direct or indirect discrimination, victimisation or harassment will not be tolerated.
  • Do not stand or climb on the independent barriers or seat - the licensed standing infrastructure is there to keep you and other supporters safe.
  • Unless needing to use facilities, do not move around in the safe standing area – your ticket is for your allocated space only.
  • Do not stand in the gangways or on the steps to watch the match – these are for accessing and leaving your seat only.
