Matchday Safety

We believe the safety and security of all visitors to Pride Park Stadium is essential to ensuring everyone can enjoy matchday. We want all supporters to enjoy the game as much as possible, while remaining mindful and respectful of fellow fans sharing in the matchday experience.

Matchday Text Service

Whilst incidents at Pride Park Stadium are rare, there may be occasions where the behaviour of other supporters is considered unacceptable. In such instances, concerns can be reported directly to Derby County Match Control via our matchday text service.

Simply start your message with DCFC, followed by your message, and send it to 88440.

Please provide as much information as possible, including the Stand, Row, and Seat number where the incident occurred. All reports will be treated in the strictest confidence as we work to identify and deal with those responsible.

Matchday Safeguarding

If you have any safeguarding concerns, please contact the Dedicated Safeguarding Officer by email at [email protected] or speak to a member of staff.

We are committed to maintaining a safe and supportive environment for all. Our comprehensive safeguarding strategy, policies, protocols, and case management systems are designed to prevent abuse and promote the wellbeing of our young people, staff, volunteers, and visitors.

Guidance for Adults Bringing Young Fans

The club offers all parents and guardians the opportunity to collect a free wristband from Rammie and Ewie’s Activity Zone, located within Harrison’s Hub in the North-East Corner, for their child to wear on matchday.

Parents and guardians can write their contact details, along with their Stand, Row, and Seat number, on the wristband. If a child becomes separated from their parent or guardian, or feels unsafe, they can approach a steward or member of staff and show their wristband. A steward or staff member will then contact the parent or guardian as quickly as possible.

Medical Emergencies

If a supporter becomes unwell at Pride Park Stadium and requires medical assistance, then we strongly advise that the nearest steward is made aware who will ensure that the crowd medical team is notified, and that appropriate care is provided.

It is also important to note that the responsibilities of the crowd medical teams are separate to the club’s first-team medical team.

For further information, please view our dedicated Medical Emergencies page.

Medication and Medical Food

If you need to bring essential medication and food/drink for certain medical conditions (i.e. diabetes, celiac disease) into the stadium, please contact the club in advance by emailing [email protected] or by calling the Accessible Ticketing and Enquiries Line on 01332 667528.

Fan Behaviour

Supporters are reminded of the importance of adhering to ground regulations and acting responsibly when visiting Pride Park Stadium.

Discriminatory behaviour that threatens the safety of any group of supporters or causes discomfort will not be tolerated. The club will pursue the strongest possible sanctions against any such behaviour. Likewise, entering the pitch without permission, or the possession or use of smoke bombs, flares, pyrotechnics, throwing objects, and drug use are strictly prohibited.

All identified offenders will be reported to the police, and any resulting prosecution may lead to a criminal record, which could impact employment, education, and may result in a prison sentence.

You can view the full list of prohibited items here.

Persistent Standing: Fans are reminded that persistent standing is not permitted in any area of the stadium, with the exception of designated safe standing sections. Supporters may be asked to remain seated throughout the match.

Smoking and Vaping: Smoking and the use of e-cigarettes are not permitted anywhere inside Pride Park Stadium, including concourse areas. Anyone found in breach of this policy may be ejected from the stadium.

Safe Standing Information

Derby County Football Club provides licensed standing areas for domestic fixtures.

All supporters attending matches in these areas are required to comply with this Code of Conduct at all times. We ask that you read the information below carefully.

This Code of Conduct does not replace any other ground regulations and should be read in conjunction with the club’s Ticketing Terms and Conditions.

Any failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in sanctions, including but not limited to non-admittance or ejection from the stadium, and/or the club losing the right to operate licensed standing areas.

When attending matches in licensed standing areas, supporters are asked to:

  • Always ensure your ticket is available for any necessary secondary ticket checks.
  • Follow the instructions of stewards and staff at all times, as they are there to ensure your safety and an enjoyable matchday experience.
  • Behave appropriately within the stand and remain respectful to others. Anti-social behaviour or any form of direct or indirect discrimination, victimisation, or harassment will not be tolerated.
  • Do not stand or climb on barriers or seats. The licensed standing infrastructure is in place to ensure the safety of all supporters.
  • Remain in your allocated space unless using facilities.
  • Do not stand in gangways or on steps to watch the match, as these areas must remain clear for access and egress at all times.
