Corey Blackett-Taylor made the move to Derby County in 2024 January transfer window from Sky Bet League One rivals Charlton Athletic.
His deal was initially a loan until the end of the 2023/24 campaign, and the winger made 12 appearances in the second half of the season for Derby as they earned promotion back to the Sky Bet Championship ahead of making his move permanent in summer 2024.
His first full season in black and white was, unfortunately, hampered by injury; however, he still featured on 12 occasions during the campaign.
In 2025/26, Blackett-Taylor made nine outings in the first half of the Championship season before undertaking a short-term loan stint with Sky Bet League One Bolton Wanderers and netted twice and provided one assist as he aided the Trotters to promotion via the play-offs.
Growing up in the West Midlands, Blackett-Taylor began his career at Aston Villa and remained there for over a decade, working his way through the ranks before making his first team debut in 2017.
During his time at Villa Park, he had a loan spell with League One side Walsall, for whom he made 10 appearances.
Upon the expiry of his Aston Villa contract in 2019, Blackett-Taylor would make his first permanent move away from the West Midlands to Sky Bet League One side Tranmere Rovers.
He became a fan favourite in his two seasons at Prenton Park but chose to move on to pastures new when his contract expired on Merseyside in 2021.
From there he made the move to Charlton Athletic and that's where he saw his career really start to take off.
He made 97 appearances for the Addicks across his two-and-a-half-year spell, scoring 20 times and providing 13 assists.
His impressive performances with Charlton saw him catch the eye and he joined Derby in the Rams in January 2024.
