Derby County winger Corey Blackett-Taylor says he is excited ahead of the final four games of the regular 2023/24 Sky Bet League One season - starting with side's trip to Wycombe Wanderers on Wednesday evening (7:45pm kick-off).

Paul Warne's side sit in second place in the league table going into the final quartet of matches in the campaign, but Blackett-Taylor, who joined the Rams from Charlton Athletic in January, says he's feeling in a determined frame of mind.
Speaking to RamsTV ahead of the clash against Wycombe, the wideman reflected on his performances over the last few weeks, including a fine showing in the 2-2 draw at Portsmouth last time out, and previewed the remainder of the season.
There was a period where I didn't do too much (training) before coming to Derby and I think that affected me a little bit. I kept training and feeling little niggles and breaking down in games. It was hard for me to get going but I think now, even just by being more settled, I've started to show what I'm about.
It was very frustrating and I felt like, because I was doing well at Charlton in the first half of the season, I was going to come into the squad with some momentum. I wanted to show what I could do straight away but it didn't really go like that. Now I feel I can really show what I'm about.

The only thing that could have topped that game off for me was if I'd scored. I was still happy with my overall performance. I felt I showed what I'm about and that's how I like to play and what I want to bring to the team.
There are a few things that are a little bit different. The way I train and the schedule is different to what I was doing at Charlton but in terms of my actual game, that is not really any different. He knew what kind of player I am and he's been telling me to do what I do. A lot of it is getting the message to the other players in the team to give me the ball at the right time and trust me, so he's been really good for me in that sense.

Settling in was the easiest thing for me, because of that. When you go to a new club that's always one thing that is on your mind, you're not sure how it's going to be or what the players are going to be like. After the first five or six days, I have felt like I've been in there for ages. It feels like I've known everyone for a long time. It's a great environment.

I can only really speak for myself, but I don't really feel the pressure, I feel more up for it and I can't wait to play and attack the matches. Everyone is relaxed and calm and looking at each match as just another game. Everyone knows how good we are and what we've got and we feel like, if we have the right mindset, we can get the job done.
