Local lad Harry Evans joined Derby County’s youth set-up at the age of six and was awarded a two-year scholarship with the Rams ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.

The youngster made seven appearances in the Under-18s’ Premier League - North campaign, while he also stepped up to the Under-21s to play five times in Premier League 2 - Division 1 before the end of the season.

In 2022/23 he ramped up his development further by making 18 appearances in Premier League 2 and he also penned professional terms during the campaign.

He also had a couple of spells out on loan in local non-league football with United Counties League Premier Division North side Melton Town in the 2022/23 campaign to gain match experience.

Evans made seven appearances in Premier League 2 in 2023/24 and also had loan spells with Coalville Town and Barwell to gain further experience, as well as training with the first team on a regular basis.

The shot-stopper made ten appearances for the Under-21s in Premier League 2 in the 2024/25 season.

He was recognised for his work as he received a nomination for the league’s Player of the Month award in January 2025, and Evans signed a further one-year deal with the Rams ahead of the 2025/26 season.

In August 2025, he joined Northern Irish top-flight side Coleraine on a loan deal that runs until January 2026.
