Jack Bates

Midfielder Jack Bates joined Derby County’s Under-21s squad in the summer of 2022.

Bates joined Derby from non-league side Hastings United after impressing during a trial spell in the 2021/22 campaign.

In 2022/23 he made 18 appearances in Premier League 2 - Division 1 and provided two assists, as well as playing in the Premier League Cup and Derbyshire Senior Cup.

The central midfielder also represented the England College National Team during his time with Hastings, as well as appearing for their first team in the Isthmian South-East Division.

Prior to playing in non-league football, Bates was on the books of Brighton & Hove Albion.
