Defender Keilen Robinson linked up with Derby County’s Under-21s in the summer of 2024 after completing two years as a scholar.
The centre-back joined the Rams at Under-12s level and has since progressed through the ranks at the Academy.
Naturally left-footed, he formed a good partnership with Daniel Cox at the heart of the defence at schoolboy level prior to making the step up to the Under-18s.
After registering five appearances in 2021/22, he backed that up with 17 more in the Under-18 Premier League in 2022/23.
Robinson impressed at both Under-18 and Under-21 level during the 2023/24 campaign, notably appearing in Premier League 2 and the Central League for the latter and recorded many appearances to continue his development and earned a professional deal as a result.
His fine form saw him called up to the England Under-19 squad in March 2024 and he made his international bow in a 1-1 draw against Morocco.
The centre-back also stepped up to the first team squad in the latter stages of the campaign and was an unused substitute for the 1-0 home over Blackpool and the end of March and the 2-2 draw at eventual Sky Bet League One champions Portsmouth in early April.
The 2024/25 season saw Robinson play regularly for the Under-21s and also spend time out on loan at National League North side Kidderminster Harriers to gain senior experience. He was also an unused substitute for Derby’s first team on a single occasion.
