Derby County Academy defender Keilen Robinson has penned his first-ever professional contract.

The 18-year-old has signed a contract until the end of the 2025/26 season after coming to the end of his two-year scholarship.

Robinson impressed at both Under-18 and Under-21 level during the 2023/24 campaign, notably appearing in Premier League 2 and the Central League for the latter and recorded many appearances to continue his development.

His fine form saw him called up to the England Under-19 squad in March and he made his international bow in a 1-1 draw against Morocco.

The centre-back also stepped up to Paul Warne’s first team squad in the latter stages of the campaign and was an unused substitute for the 1-0 home over Blackpool and the end of March and the 2-2 draw at eventual Sky Bet League One champions Portsmouth in early April.

Robinson joined the Rams at Under-12s level and has since progressed through the ranks in the youth set-up.

After signing professional terms, the defender will become a permanent member of Jake Buxton’s Under-21 squad going into the 2024/25 season.
