Popular former midfielder to return to Pride Park on Saturday.

Former Derby County midfielder Inigo Idiakez will be returning to Pride Park Stadium this weekend to take in the Rams’ npower Championship encounter against Wolverhampton Wanderers (16th February 2013).

As a special guest of the club, Idiakez has agreed to visit Derby’s hospitality lounges before the game against Dean Saunders’s side, with the aim to bring Rams fans closer to their former stars as part of their hospitality package.

The Spaniard, who is now 39, made 96 appearances in a Derby shirt between July 2004 and August 2006 after arriving from Rayo Vallecano – and his impressive return of 22 goals made him a popular figure with the Pride Park faithful.

He won the coveted Player of the Year Award in his first year at Pride Park, in the 2004-05 campaign, and he later went on to have spells at Southampton and Queens Park Rangers before returning to Spain to pursue a coaching career.
