Striker watches on as Jamaica draw 0-0 with Tottenham Hotspur.

Derby County striker Theo Robinson didn’t feature for the Jamaica national side for their international friendly against Premier League Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday evening.

It was confirmed at the beginning of this week that Robinson had been called up to the Reggae Boyz’s squad for their friendlies against Tottenham (Thursday 23rd May) and the Bahamas (Friday 31st May) during a 12-day training camp as a warm-up for their World Cup 2014 qualifying fixtures against Mexico (Tuesday 4th June), United States of America (Friday 7th June) and Honduras (Tuesday 11th June).

The game against a strong Spurs side in Nassau, Bahamas ended in a goalless draw with the likes of Gareth Bale, Jermain Defoe, Michael Dawson and Kyle Walker all featuring for the White Hart Lane outfit, as well as former Derby loanee Jake Livermore.

Robinson, along with eight of the nine British-based players in the Jamaica squad, weren’t involved in the matchday squad with the exception being Sheffield Wednesday’s Jermaine Johnson. However, the eight players are due to return to the fold for the friendly against Bahamas next Friday.

Jamaica, who are managed by ex-Hull City midfielder Theodore Whitmore, currently sit bottom of the final North, Central American and Caribbean qualifying group, with two points from three games, although they remain three points off top spot, a position which is currently held by Panama.

24-year-old Robinson, who has three international caps to his name, has scored 23 goals in 83 appearances for Derby since arriving from Millwall in February 2011.
