Goalkeeper joins non-league outfit on loan to gain first-team experience.

Derby County Under 21s goalkeeper Ross Etheridge has joined non-league Ilkeston FC on loan for a month.

The youngster, who signed professional forms in the summer after two-years as a scholar in Derby’s Academy, is set to make his debut at home to Trafford FC in the Evo-Stik League Northern Premier League on Saturday.

His loan deal will run up to and including Saturday 18th January 2014.

Etheridge spent three months on loan at non-league Gresley FC and impressed with a succession of fine performances between the posts.

Ilkeston are managed by former Derby player Kevin Wilson and former Ram Rob Kozluk is also on the books at the New Manor Ground as both a player and youth coach.

dcfc.co.uk will monitor Etheridge’s progress with the Robins in the weekly ‘Loan Watch’ feature every Monday.
