Defender to remain with Newport for the rest of the season.
Derby County defender Tom Naylor has extended his loan spell at Newport County until the end of the season.
Naylor, 22, joined Newport back in August on a half-season loan and has made 27 appearances for Justin Edinburgh’s side in their first season back in the Football League.
Newport are currently seventh in League 2 and occupy the fourth and final playoff spot going into the New Year.
Naylor joined the Rams in November 2011 from then-Conference side Mansfield Town, initially on loan, before sealing a permanent move during the January 2012 transfer window.
He has made 10 appearances at first-team level for Derby, the last of which came in August 2012 against Scunthorpe United in the Capital One Cup.
