Derby County have learned their 2026/27 Carabao Cup Round One opponents.
For the first time, the Carabao Cup will kick off the new season, with the first competitive fixture of the campaign coming on Saturday 8th August 2026.
The Rams were handed a home tie against newly promoted Lincoln City.
Derby have previously played the Imps in Round One of the League Cup in August 2008, coming out as 3-1 winners with Nathan Ellington netting a hat-trick, scoring two in extra time after scoring an 83rd-minute equaliser to send the game to the distance at Pride Park Stadium.
That result kick-started a strong run in the competition that season, where the Rams were knocked out by Manchester United in the second leg of the semi-final losing 4-3 on aggregate.
Ticket details for Derby's first competitive fixture of the new season will be communicated in due course.
