Goalkeeper to remain with non-league side for the rest of the season.
Derby County Under 21s goalkeeper Ross Etheridge has extended his loan spell at non-league Ilkeston FC for the rest of the season.
The 19-year-old, who signed professional forms in the summer after two-years as a scholar in Derby’s Academy, moved to the Evo-Stik League Northern Premier League side on a month’s loan back in December.
Ilkeston are managed by former Derby player Kevin Wilson, who said: “Ross has done very well for us since joining in December.
“His performances have been of a high standard and it’s great to get him on board until the end of the season.
“We are thankful to Derby that they have allowed us to extend his loan here at the New Manor Ground. It’s great that we have ties with the professional clubs in the local area and we hope it can continue.
“What we have got with Ross is a developing goalkeeper who will come here and improve. It’s beneficial for both parties.”
Etheridge spent three months on loan at non-league Gresley FC and impressed with a succession of fine performances between the posts and will continue to gain first-team experience whilst with the Robins.
