Left-back makes loan move.

Derby County defender Michael Hoganson has joined Skrill Premier side Alfreton Town on loan until the end of the Conference season.

The 20-year-old left-back will go straight into their squad for this evening’s home game against Tamworth at the Impact Arena.

He has made four appearances for Derby since joining on a free transfer from Newcastle United at the start of the 2012/13 season.

The Newcastle-born player is yet to make an appearance for the Rams under Head Coach Steve McClaren, but has been a regular for Derby’s Under 21 side in the Professional Development League 2 North.

Hoganson has joined Alfreton to help aid their promotion push, with Nicky Law’s side currently third in the table with nine games left to play.
