Striker back with Derby after a month on loan at Chesterfield.

Derby County have recalled striker Mason Bennett from his loan spell at League 2 Chesterfield.

The 17-year-old forward joined the Spireites on a month-long loan deal last month in order to gain first-team experience.

Bennett made six appearances for Paul Cook’s side, including an outing off the bench in their Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Final defeat to Peterborough United at Wembley last month.

He will now re-join Derby’s squad for the final five games of the Sky Bet Championship season and add to Head Coach Steve McClaren’s attacking options.

Bennett has made 14 appearances for Derby this season and he scored his first-ever league goal for the Club in September 2013 in the Rams’ 5-1 win at Millwall.

He became Derby’s youngest-ever player in October 2011 aged just 15 years and 99 days old and has registered 31 professional appearances and scored twice.
