19-year-old striker puts pen-to-paper with Derby County.

Derby County have signed striker Shaquille McDonald.

The 19-year-old frontman has penned a two-year deal after spending some time on trial with the Rams.

He featured in the pre-season friendly matches against Ilkeston FC and Mickleover Sports prior to putting pen-to-paper.

Head Coach Steve McClaren said: “Shaquille is a young striker who has shown promise and potential.

“I look forward to further progress from him in the development squad.”

McDonald joined his former club Peterborough United from Chasetown in 2012 and was rewarded with a professional contract, after a prolific spell in which he scored 25 goals in 10 appearances for Peterborough’s Under 18 and reserve sides.
