Derby County defender Isak Ssewankambo has joined Norwegian top flight side Molde FK.

The Sweden Under 21 international full-back has joined Molde, who are managed by former Manchester United striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, for an undisclosed fee.

The former Chelsea player joined Derby in January 2015 from Dutch side NAC Breda following a trial spell at the club.

He made a single first-team appearance for the Rams, at the beginning of the current campaign, after being named in starting line-up the Capital One Cup First Round tie away to Portsmouth.

The Norwegian 2016 season kicks off next weekend and Ssewankambo has linked up with his new team-mates ahead of their opening game of the season at home to Tromso.

He leaves with Derby County’s best wishes for the future.
