Ahead of the visit of Derby County to Hillsborough, Carlos Carvalhal has warned his Sheffield Wednesday side to remain both cautious and focused, kick-off: 3pm.

With just three games of the regular season left, Carvalhal’s team sit in fifth place in the Sky Bet Championship on 75 points – a tally which has seen them already better last season’s points return (74).
And with both Fulham and Leeds United just two points behind and hot on the Owls’ tails – it the Sky Bet Championship’s play-off race looks like it is going to go right down to the wire.
On Saturday, Gary Rowett’s Rams side will be hoping that they can at least put the brakes on Wednesday’s play-off push as they look to complete the double over Carvalhal’s promotion hopefuls.
Speaking to preview the game, Carvalhal told Sheffield Wednesday’s official website: “Our players and everybody at the club are focused on what we must do because we have a game that won’t be easy.
“Derby are not easy opponents and we must do the correct things, we must be careful with the strong points they have in their team.
“We’ll have massive support from our fans again, we can rely on them.
“They can be decisive and we need a very good and strong environment again to try to win a very tough game.”
He added: “We do our work, I know Derby have a good coach, good organisation, good players. We must do the correct things to achieve (all three points).”
“Derby have many strong points but we expect massive support from our fans. We need a strong environment to win a tough game.”
Ahead of the game, Wednesday are also hoping to be boosted by the return of midfielder Kieran Lee.
The 28-year-old has been absent from the squad since undergoing hip surgery back in January, but he has been strongly tipped to return to the matchday squad ahead of the Rams clash.
On Lee, Carvalhal said: “Kieran Lee has progressed very well, He is showing very good signals, he can be involved in the 18.”
“Let’s take the decisions, we haven’t decided yet but he is available if we want to put him in the 18.
“It’s fantastic news, we are recovering players all the weeks because so many players were out, including Morgan Fox and Will Buckley, who have started training this week also.
“It’s very good news for us. His physical condition is not 100 per cent yet, of course, but you know Kieran is a fit guy, he runs a lot and it is not difficult for him to achieve a good condition.”
