The Football Association has granted the Derby County Girls’ Regional Talent Club a ‘Tier Two’ licence for the 2017/18 season.

The licence, which is funded nationally, will see the Derby County Community Trust continue to deliver an elite football programme for girls aged U10, U12, U14 and U16.

The award comes after a successful 2016/17 season, which saw the Girls’ Regional Talent Club continue its proven track record of developing players into England Talent Camps, England Squads.

Head of Community Simon Carnall said: “We are proud and delighted to have been allocated the Tier Two Regional Talent Club License for another season and look forward to developing our relationships to offer outstanding opportunities to female players.”

He added: “We are hugely passionate and committed to developing the female side of the game, our commitment over the past decade through the Girls’ Regional Talent Club and grass roots provision demonstrates that.”
