Derby County’s team news for tonight’s pre-season friendly double-header against Port Vale and Doncaster Rovers have been confirmed ahead of kick-off (both games: 7:45pm).

As expected, Tom Huddlestone makes his first start since re-joining the club from Hull City last Saturday and plays for the Rams at Vale Park.

Defender Richard Keogh make his return from injury, after he missed the 2-0 win at Macclesfield Town, and starts at centre back alongside Alex Pearce at Doncaster Rovers.

Nick Blackman misses out entirely this evening with a knock and joins Matěj Vydra, George Thorne, Jason Shackell and Max Lowe on the sidelines.

The substitutes benches at both Vale Park and the Keepmoat Stadium will be made up of players from Derby’s Under-23s squad.

This evening’s games will see the majority of Rowett’s players get their first 90 minutes under their belts – a significant step up after all the players played 45 minutes each in the two friendlies prior to tonight at Kidderminster Harriers and Macclesfield Town.
