Derby County’s 2017/18 Sky Bet Championship campaign is fast approaching – and supporters will be able to enjoy a far greater digital offering this season on RamsTV.

Part of the new experience is the significant enhancement of RamsTV, after Derby chose to partner with StreamAMG, Europe’s premier online video specialist, to provide their own platform – rather than join the EFL’s digital streaming service, iFollow.

For 2017/18 and beyond, the club will be providing a streaming service which will be in line with the EFL’s price structure for those clubs who have remained in the new EFL Digital agreement.

The service on RamsTV will include:

* Live streaming of first-team Sky Bet Championship fixtures (with the exception of those selected for live TV coverage) for supporters based outside the UK – including a full Matchday Live show with exclusive interviews, expert analysis and match commentary.

* Full Matchday Live replay the day after each first-team fixture for supporters based in the UK.

* Live streaming of Under-23 matches with match commentary, both inside and outside the UK.

* Audio commentary of every first-team fixture for supporters worldwide.

For home matches, Derby will run a seven-camera mix to offer the best possible viewing experience from Pride Park Stadium. This is a far greater offering than the iFollow package, which will be showing match action largely from a single fixed camera.

For away games, the Matchday Live programme will again be available but with fewer camera angles – although supporters will still be able to enjoy Derby’s own dedicated match commentary and analysis from each fixture on the road.

Match Highlights and the Matchday Live show will be available to view for supporters in the UK the day after each first-team fixture, under the EFL’s digital terms.

The club provided a full and free Matchday Live service for the pre-season game at Kidderminster on Tuesday evening, with Colin Gibson and Michael Johnson in the RamsTV studio and commentary of the game coming from Jack Woodward and Marc Edworthy. More than 3,000 supporters tuned into the programme.

Tomorrow, the RamsTV cameras will be at Moss Rose to see Gary Rowett’s men take on Macclesfield Town in the second pre-season fixture (3pm kick-off).

Derby County’s Chairman Mel Morris commented: “The effort and investment that is going into this project is considerable.

“The EFL’s Digital iFollow product is a great step forward from the previous Player HD service and should be commended for that.

“However, we opted out of the agreement because we wanted to go much further and much faster in offering a streaming service that provided a capability beyond what the EFL project could deliver, given its relatively modest budget dictated by the need to support clubs in all three leagues.

“While we are aiming for a much richer experience for our supporters, we will be mirroring the pricing. In fact this is a mandatory requirement when opting out, as we have.

“We were delighted with the feedback from our supporters following the streaming of the friendly at Kidderminster Harriers on Tuesday, which was our first stream of a first-team match.

“The RamsTV platform is growing rapidly and it an exciting project which we believe will offer an excellent and vastly improved service to our supporters across the world.”

The new RamsTV streaming service is available to all supporters who resister on our new-look website dcfc.co.uk – which launched last month and has been developed with significant supporter input.

To access the full RamsTV streaming service will cost the following:

First-Team Match Streaming (outside UK) - £110 annual subscription or £12.50 per month

First-Team Audio Commentary (worldwide) - £45 annual subscription or £5 per month

Packages will be available to purchase on an annual basis and monthly basis on dcfc.co.uk next week, so keep an eye out for details in the coming days.

The two premium services are in addition to the regular pre-match and post-match interviews on RamsTV, as well as regular weekly features – which will continue to be available free of charge and will also be upgraded this season.
