Derby County Vs Preston - Betting Preview

Derby County are back in Championship action this evening with a home fixture against Preston North End (7:45pm kick-off) - and dcfc.co.uk highlights where you can cash in with official betting partner Coral…

Nailed-On…

It’s a little early in the season to start putting too much faith in trends, but both teams’ two league matches so far have gone Under 2.5 Goals. Likewise the two meetings last year also went ‘under’ – 1-1 at Pride Park Stadium and then 1-0 victory away at Deepdale. So it’s not a bad place to start. But you’ll have to make do with just 4/6.

You’ll get a more palatable 19/20 for a repeat of last season’s Home Win, but there are better returns to be had if we dig a little deeper…

Smart Money…

If you swerve the Home Win in favour of Derby Win & Under 2.5 Goals you’ll get a smidgeon under 3/1 (29/10). Coral will even go 31/20 allowing you the headroom of an extra goal – in the Derby Win & Under 3.5 Goals.

If last season’s clashes are a guide, it is worth pointing out that Derby lead at the break in both matches (a last minute Preston equaliser cost all three points in the home match). So the Draw/ Derby option in the Half-time/ Full-time market should be on your radar too. You’ll get 18/5.

Long Shots…

For bigger prices, there’s 11/2 available for a repeat of the 1-0 win at Preston last season, which was secured by a fine header from Craig Forsyth. Or an improved 15/2 for the 2-0 win.

Don’t forget, if you’re a newcomer to Coral you can take advantage of an exclusive Welcome Offer. Sign-up today and stake £10 and you will get an instant £30 in Free Bets.

And if you are already a member, Opt in to the Coral bet & get club and anything you stake on this match will count towards Coral’s Bet & Get Club. Stake £25 or more between Monday and Thursday and Coral will give you £10 in free bets for the weekend - £5 online and £5 in-shop using your Connect Card.
