Tom Lawrence won’t be worried about the wait for his first Derby County goal, providing that he continues to contribute to the Rams’ unbeaten run, according to club legend Roger Davies.

The Wales international was inches away from opening his account against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday when he chipped effort rolled agonisingly against the post.
Speaking to the RamsTV Review Show, club ambassador Davies said that recent performances prove that Lawrence is unaffected by his lack of goals so far.
He said: “I don’t think it plays on the mind as much as people think, if Derby are winning games and he’s contributing, he’ll be happy enough.
“He’s got confidence, he’ll always try to go at people. I’ll never stop anyone if they want to try a trick or go past someone in the final third. His goals will come.
"When he hits his peak, he will be a major asset for Derby County."
Davies’ thoughts were echoed by fellow panellist Shane Nicholson, and the former Rams defender believes that the forward’s worth to Gary Rowett’s side is highlighted by his overall game.
Nicholson added: “He needs that goal, but it doesn’t stop him wanting the ball or trying to do the right things in the right areas.
“I think that he’s a great player and a great threat for Derby County. He just needs a tap-in just so he can see his name on the scoresheet.”
