Top scorer Matej Vydra has recovered from a groin problem to return to the Derby County starting line-up for this evening’s Sky Bet Championship meeting with Sunderland, kick-off: 7:45pm.


The 25-year-old Czech Republic international is one of four changes Gary Rowett, who takes charge of his 50th Rams game this evening, has made to his starting XI from the team that drew 0-0 with Nottingham Forest before the international break.

The Derby boss is also able to recall Chris Baird, back after a three-match suspension, George Thorne and Cameron Jerome.

Joe Ledley also returns to the matchday fold and is named amongst the substitutes for tonight’s game against the Black Cats.

Those four players replace Andre Wisdom, Ikechi Anya, David Nugent and the suspended Tom Huddlestone.

Notably, Craig Forsyth will make his 250th career start.
