Back at Pride Park Stadium, Derby County will be aiming to build on Easter Monday’s win over Preston North End when they take on Bolton Wanderers.

The Rams will also be looking to further cement their position in the play-off spots (kick-off: 3pm) and dcfc.co.uk has collated all the information you need ahead of the visit of Phil Parkinson’s men…

WHAT’S THE LATEST TEAM NEWS

Gary Rowett has confirmed that Bradley Johnson is likely to still be out of action when Derby County take on Bolton Wanderers this weekend.

The 30-year-old midfielder has an infection in his foot and consequently missed the 1-0 win at Preston North End on Easter Monday.

Ikechi Anya has a calf problem, whilst Marcus Olsson also continues to be ruled out.

David Nugent should be fine to continue after a taking a bang on the nose from Tom Lawrence during his matchwinning celebrations at Deepdale.

Sam Winnall continues to miss out but will be in the RamsTV studio for the meeting with the Trotters.

WHAT THE BOSS HAD TO SAY?

Speaking to RamsTV ahead of the weekend’s game, Gary Rowett said: “The Easter programme shows what you have to do. You have to prepare as well as you can, play the game, and then move on very quickly, whether it’s a win, draw or defeat.

“You can’t let results affect the next two or three games, because if you do then your season will be over.

“For us, we have to build very quickly and we have to back that result up with a good performance and another good result.

“At this stage of the season, it almost doesn’t matter how you play. The result is most important because you have worked so hard for so long.

“We have lots of games and we have to make sure that we manage each game individually, but move on very quickly.

“The magnitude of each game should motivate the players, whether it’s Bolton at home, Wolves away – who are fighting for the title – or Burton – who are fighting for their lives.

“You have to have the same mindset for every game. You have to turn up and make sure that you don’t leave anything out there on the pitch.”

ONE TO WATCH

After rejoining Bolton Wanderers, originally in January 2017, Adam Le Fondre is likely to be a key figure for the Trotters in their battle to avoid relegation this season.

The 31-year-old appears to have rediscovered his scoring touch in recent weeks having netted three goals in his last five matches – goals which have earned four points for Bolton.

Le Fondre has proven himself to be one of the Football League's more deadliest finishers in recent years after progressing up the divisions.

Starting his career at local side Stockport County, the forward later enjoyed prolific stints with Rochdale and Rotherham United before signing for Reading in 2011, while he was also a member of the Royals side that won promotion to the Premier League in 2012.

Scoring eight goals in 17 appearances during his first loan stint with the Whites, Le Fondre later enjoyed loan stints with Wolverhampton Wanderers and Wigan Athletic prior to his return to Macron Stadium.

Handed his debut as a substitute away at MK Dons in February 2017, the 30-year-old received a warm reception when handed his home debut the following week, starting in the Whites' emphatic 4-1 victory over Walsall.

He finished the season with six goals in all competitions – form which ultimately earned him a permanent deal at Macron Stadium.

OUR LAST MEETING WITH THE TROTTERS?

BOLTON WANDERERS 1-2 DERBY COUNTY
Saturday 19th August 2017

17838

A brace from David Nugent in the first half saw Derby County secure their first away victory of the 2017/18 Sky Bet Championship campaign with a 2-1 win over Bolton Wanderers back in August.

Gary Madine did manage to grab a consolation goal for his side late into injury time, but two key early goals from the Rams ensured Derby made it back-to-back wins in a week; following the 1-0 victory over Preston North End earlier in the week.

As was the case against the Lilywhites in midweek, this latest three points was more than deserved – with the damage being done in the first half.

WHO’S THE MAN IN THE MIDDLE?

Darren England will be the man in the middle at Pride Park Stadium on Saturday for Bolton Wanderers’ visit to take on Derby County, Kick-off: 3pm.

England has officiated 33 games so far this term, the majority coming in the Sky Bet Championship from which he has produced 95 yellow cards but is yet to show a straight red card.

It will be the third time this season that he will take charge of a game involving the Rams. The first came on December 23rd when Derby defeated Millwall 3-0 after David Nugent and Matej Vydra combined to score three goals in a five-minute period.

The second came in January when Gary Rowett’s men drew 0-0 against Bristol City. In the previous two matches, both at Pride Park, three yellow cards were shown but just one of those was directed to a Derby player.

In total, Saturday’s referee has officiated three games involving the Rams during his career resulting in two wins and one draw.

England will be assisted by John Flynn and Mark Jones on the lines, whilst Darren Drysdale has been appointed as the fourth official.
