Derby County’s Luke Thomas has joined Sky Bet League One club Coventry City on loan until January.

The 19-year-old - who recently signed a new four-year deal with the Rams - broke into the first-team set-up at Pride Park Stadium last term and will now head out to further his experience at the Ricoh Arena.

Thomas came off the bench to make his debut for the club against Queens Park Rangers in November 2017 before making an additional substitute appearance against Bolton Wanderers in April.

The winger also impressed in pre-season under Frank Lampard, scoring twice against Notts County at Meadow Lane last month.

It will be the second loan spell of Thomas’ career so far, after his short stint with Gloucester City in 2017.

Derby County would like to wish Luke all the best for his loan spell with Coventry City.
