Derby County have completed the signing of experienced defender Charlie Taylor.

The 32-year-old left-back has signed a one-year deal and joins the Rams as a free agent following the conclusion of his contract with Southampton.
Taylor brings Premier League pedigree to John Eustace’s squad, with 169 top-flight appearances, and a total of 423 career appearances to his name.
He is also well-versed in the Sky Bet Championship from his time with Leeds United early in his career, as well as more recently winning promotion with Burnley, and playing in the second tier during spells with the Saints and West Bromwich Albion.
The majority of his Premier League appearances came during seven seasons with Burnley from 2017 to 2023, after which he joined Southampton.
He featured 28 times in all competitions out on loan with West Brom in the Championship last season.
Taylor will join Derby for their pre-season preparations. Eustace’s side will face their first test of pre-season when they meet Alfreton Town in a friendly match on Friday 17th July (7pm kick-off).
Welcome to Derby, Charlie!
