Derby County will look to build on the positives from Tuesday night’s draw against Blackburn when they return to Pride Park Stadium for the second time this week to face Brentford.

Frank Lampard’s side were forced to settle with a goalless draw in the midweek clash although their effort and work-rate deserved more and the Rams will aim to carry that effort through to Saturday’s match-up with the Bees (kick-odd: 3pm), and here, dcfc.co.uk has gathered all the information you need ahead of the clash with Dean Smith’s side.

TEAM NEWS…

Derby County will still be without Tom Lawrence as he is set to miss his second game of his three-match ban that he was given following a red card against Rotherham.

Jody Morris provided an update on Curtis Davies, who is recovering from a hamstring injury. Although Saturday’s game will come too soon for the Rams defender, they are hoping he will be integrated back training with the whole squad over the next couple of days.

He is slightly ahead in his recovery that George Evans who will miss Saturday’s clash as he continues to recover from a knee injury.

WHAT WAS SAID…

Jody Morris told RamsTV: “I kept an eye on Brentford over the last couple of years because I like the way they play.

“I think the manager has done a very good job and whenever I’ve seen Brentford I’ve been impressed with their style of play and the way that they keep possession and build but they have also got a ruthless streak up top.

“I think they will be confident. It’s away from home and maybe their away form isn’t as good as their home but at the same time, when you are higher up the league, albeit after not many games, you take confidence from it.

“We should be looking at it, they are coming to Pride Park, and we need to make sure we are on our game because we will be a match for them.”
