The League Managers Association’s five-man panel has determined that the 'LG Performance of the Week Award' should go to Derby County for their impressive 4-1 victory against West Bromwich Albion on Wednesday.

Jack Marriott opened the scoring for the Rams on 10 minutes, whilst shortly after Tom Lawrence made it two as Frank Lampard’s side started well at the Hawthorns.

They led by two goals at the break and a thunderbolt from Harry Wilson just after the break seemingly put the game beyond doubt, before Scott Malone netted his first for the club with 20 minutes remaining as Lampard’s side ran riot.

Jay Rodriguez did grab a consolation with less than 10 minutes remaining, but it did not take the gloss off the victory for Rams which lifted them to fifth in the Sky Bet Championship.

The LMA’s five-man panel consists of Chairman Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Joe Royle, Dave Bassett and Barry Fry. The experienced and highly distinguished panel has managed a combined total of over 6,000 competitive matches in professional football.

Lampard has received a celebratory bottle of champagne, courtesy of Tanners Wines, and the LG Performance of the Week trophy to commemorate the result.
