Youngster Timi Max Elsnik has returned to Derby County from his loan spell at Sky Bet League 2 side Mansfield Town.
Midfielder Elsnik, 20, joined the Stags on a season-long loan deal back in August.
However, Mansfield have activated a clause within the agreement to terminate the loan spell during the January transfer window.
Elsnik made 24 appearances for Mansfield in total and scored on four occasions.
The Slovenian youth international has made three first-team appearances for Derby in total, all off the bench in the Carabao Cup, and spent last season on loan at League 2 side Swindon Town.
