Manager Frank Lampard has named three Academy products in his starting XI to face Southampton in the FA Cup Third Round this afternoon (3pm kick-off).

Right-back Jayden Bogle retains his place in the team, whilst 18-year-old Max Bird is handed his second professional start for Derby County.

Bird is captain of the Under-23s and has featured five times in all competitions for the club but this is his first start on home turf.

Left-back Max Lowe is also named in the starting XI following his spell on loan with Scottish Premier League side Aberdeen.

Kelle Roos comes in for his first start since the Carabao Cup Second Round tie against Hull City as he replaces number one Scott Carson.

Tom Lawrence has now recovered from injury and starts, whilst Craig Bryson and Duane Holmes are also handed places in Lampard’s starting line-up as he makes six changes to the side which drew 1-1 with Middlesbrough on New Year’s Day.

The manager has named a strong substitutes bench too.

Both line ups are as follows:

Derby County: Roos, Bryson, Tomori, Keogh (C), Lawrence, Marriott, Evans, Holmes, Lowe, Bogle, Bird.

Substitutes: Carson, Wisdom, Mount, Waghorn, Jozefzoon, Nugent, Huddlestone.

Southampton: Gunn, Soares, Vestergaard, Stephens, Long, Austin, El-Younoussi, Ward-Prowse (C), Redmond, Targett, Slattery.

Substitutes: McCarthy, Romeu, Bednarek, Valery, Johnson, Barnes, Ramsey.
