Derby County Community Trust and Derby QUAD are celebrating the 50-year anniversary of Derby County Football Club winning the Division 2 title in 1969 with a Q&A based evening with stars of the team and their families, hosted by Colin Gibson and Roger Davies.

The event will give Derby County fans the chance to reminisce about the season that saw Derby promoted back to the top flight under Clough and Taylor. Big signings of Willie Carlin and Dave Mackay joined existing players including Roy McFarland, Alan Hinton and Jon O’Hare to form a formidable side who ran away with the title, seven points ahead of second-placed Crystal Palace.

The 1989-69 season also saw Derby start an impressive run of 22 games unbeaten which continued into their stint in the top flight after a 16-year absence.

Despite starting the season indifferently, the team went on to win 26 games in the league, including a straight run of nine wins to close the campaign and seal first place

Good form in the League Cup complemented the stellar league performance, with Derby County reaching the quarter finals and taking top-flight opposition Everton and Chelsea.

Access All Eras: 90 Minutes with the Champions, will mark the success of the team that season and beyond, in a celebratory evening which will give fans the chance to reminisce, ask their questions and meet the players in attendance.

All proceeds from the event will support the Derby County Community Trust and the QUAD.
