Derby County are back on the road on Tuesday evening when they take on Blackburn Rovers, kick-off 7.45pm.

Frank Lampard’s side will be looking to return to their winning ways following a draw on Saturday against Brentford and here, dcfc.co.uk has gathered everything you need to know ahead of the clash with Tony Mowbray’s side.

TEAM NEWS…

Manager Frank Lampard will be without Scott Malone on Tuesday night after he revealed the full back had suffered a rib injury against Brentford on Saturday.

Malone was forced off early into the game after a challenge with Bees midfielder Said Benrahma. Ashley Cole came on and is expected to feature against Mowbray's side tomorrow evening.

Meanwhile, there is positive news in attack as Martyn Waghorn will be fit to face Rovers.

The striker limped out of Saturday's game after picking up a dead leg, however, Lampard admitted he will be fine for tomorrow's clash.

WHAT THE BOSS HAD TO SAY…

“Brentford gave us a really tough game at the weekend and I expect the same from Blackburn.

“I know people will talk about Blackburn winning once in so many games, but you can’t rely on form in this league.

“We can only rely on ourselves. I thought we played well at Brentford on Saturday, we should have won, and we will need to go to Blackburn with a similar mindset.

“When I say that, I mean we must know that they are dangerous and have players that can hurt you - but also have belief in ourselves.”

“I know it’s easy to look elsewhere and at what other teams are doing but we need to focus on us.

“We have seven games left, in a short space of time, and they bring different types of challenges to get the points that we need to make the play-offs.

“Make no bones about it, we know that we need to win a big portion of those seven games.”
