Derby County are back in Sky Bet Championship action this weekend when they take on Middlesbrough on home turf on Saturday 2nd November (3pm kick-off).

Phillip Cocu’s side will head into their first home game of the month looking to record a fourth successive at Pride Park Stadium.

Here, dcfc.co.uk has gathered all the information you will need ahead of the clash with Jonathan Woodgate's side.

TEAM NEWS…

Manager Phillip Cocu has no fresh injury worries leading into the game against Middlesbrough.

Midfielder George Evans is in line to return to the squad after recovering from a thigh injury which he sustained in training towards the end of August.

He played 90 minutes for the Under-23s in their 2-1 Premier League 2 - Division 1 victory at Brighton & Hove Albion last weekend.

Tom Huddlestone remains sidelined with a hamstring injury, while Ikechi Anya remains out of action with a calf problem.

Craig Forsyth will continue to build up his match fitness with Derby’s Under-23s after almost a year out of action with a long-term knee injury.

PRE-MATCH THOUGHTS…

Manager Phillip Cocu, speaking to the media on Thursday afternoon to preview the game, said: “If you play a home game you have to look forward to all the fans backing you up and a great pitch to play on.

"We have had good results before in the home games, winning our last three, so we can have all the confidence. We want to get a win so we have another option to get a result in the next away game because the next one is a really important one as well at Nottingham Forest."

More pre-match thoughts from the Derby boss in the lead-up to Saturday's game can be found across dcfc.co.uk and RamsTV.

WHO’S THE MAN IN THE MIDDLE…

Darren Bond will be the man in the middle at the weekend for what will be his first Derby County match this season.

Bond’s last Rams fixture was the 2-0 win at Bristol City at the end of last season.

All three points were secured at Ashton Gate thanks to goals from Tom Lawrence and Jayden Bogle, while Antoine Semenyo was also sent off for the hosts.

He has overseen 10 matches so far this season, producing 44 yellows and no reds.

Stroud will be assisted by Jonathan Hunt and Matthew McGrath on the lines, whilst James Mainwaring has been appointed as the fourth official.

REMEMBRANCE GAME…

Saturday's home game has been nominated as the club’s annual Remembrance fixture.

The match is Derby’s closest home match in advance of Remembrance Sunday, which this year falls on 10th November.

Ahead of kick-off on Saturday, those in attendance will be asked to observe the playing of the Last Post while a wreath will also be laid on the Pride Park pitch in the lead-up to the match getting underway.

Military personnel will be in attendance throughout the day to help raise money for the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal and a collection will also be staged both outside and inside the ground should supporters wish to make a donation.

All of Derby players will have a poppy displayed on their shirts for the match, as well as for the local derby at Nottingham Forest on Saturday 9th November (12:30pm kick-off).

The match shirts will be auctioned off following the conclusion of the Forest game, with all proceeds going to the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.

Details of the auction will be confirmed in due course and communicated to supporters.

The annual Remembrance Fixture is one of the key dates in the club’s calendar and in 2014 a specially commissioned War Memorial Plaque was erected next to the Lionel Pickering Entrance at Pride Park Stadium.

The Plaque bears the names of six former players of the club who sadly died in the First World War, whilst also remembering the many others with Derby County connections who answered the call to serve King and Country in two World Wars.

As part of the Remembrance activities in 2018, trees were planted at the Training Centre to serve as living legacies to the hundreds of footballers who served and fell in the First World War.
