Derby County Under-23s return to Premier League Cup action tonight when they take on Birmingham City at Loughborough University Stadium, kick-off: 7pm.

The young Rams will be looking to bounce back from a rare defeat a week ago when they fell to a 4-1 defeat against Leicester City in their league clash.

THE STORY SO FAR…

Tonight’s game marks the halfway point of the group stage of the cup competition. Derby opened their campaign with a 2-1 loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers before cruising past Leeds United in a 7-1 victory.

The Rams’ three points sees them sit behind Wolves who are unbeaten so far. Birmingham sit third having picked up a point in a draw against Leeds before their loss to Wolves.
