Derby County will take on Sky Bet League 2 side Northampton Town away from home in the Fourth Round of this season’s Emirates FA Cup.


The Cobblers, who play at Sixfields Stadium and are managed by Keith Curle, are ninth in League 2 and reached Round Four with a 4-2 victory at Burton Albion on Sunday.

The draw took place just after 7:30pm on Monday evening and was staged by former Arsenal and Republic of Ireland international David O’Leary and ex-Arsenal Women and England defender Alex Scott.

Derby progressed to the Fourth Round with a 1-0 win at Premier League side Crystal Palace in their Third Round tie on Sunday thanks to a first-half goal from striker Chris Martin.

The Fourth Round is scheduled for the weekend of 24/25/26/27 January 2020 with ties taking place between Friday and Monday.

Derby reached the Fifth Round of the competition last season and were 1-0 winners at League 1 side Accrington Stanley at the Fourth Round stage, with Martyn Waghorn scoring the only goal of the game.
