Craig Forsyth says Derby County’s focus is on their Emirates FA Cup Fourth Round replay against Northampton Town and nothing else.

Derby will take on the Sky Bet League 2 promotion chasers at Pride Park Stadium on Tuesday evening to battle it out for a place in the Fifth Round (7:45pm kick-off).

The two sides played out a 0-0 draw at Northampton’s PTS Academy Stadium in the original Fourth Round tie last month to set up Derby’s first replay on home turf in over ten years.

The winners of the replay will face Premier League giants Manchester United on home turf in the Fifth Round of the competition.

Despite a big prize being on offer, Forsyth has stressed that the Rams have their focus on what they need to do on the pitch in the same manner as they would approach any other game.

Speaking to RamsTV, Forsyth said: “It’s a big game and the reward is there for the winners.

“We have got to make sure we treat it the same as any other game and put in another performance like we did against Stoke.

“Northampton won’t be easy to play against and we knew what it was going to be like when we went there in the Fourth Round tie.

“It was a typical old-school cup tie; they make it difficult for you and I’m sure it will be the same again on Tuesday night. We have got to match it and play a bit more this time.”

He added: “We know what the prize is for getting through, but you have to put it in the back of your mind and take care of the task in hand.”

Forsyth, 30, has made 12 appearances in all competitions for Derby so far this season after recovering from a long-term knee injury.
