Derby County wishes to provide an update on the situation in relation to first-team player contracts which are due to expire on 30th June 2020.

Chris Martin

Talks have been ongoing in recent weeks between the club and representatives of Chris Martin.

A temporary agreement has been reached to extend the player’s contract until the end of the current season.

The club and the player’s representatives remain in discussion relating to a longer-term solution.

Craig Forsyth

The club is delighted to confirm that Craig Forsyth has extended his contract until the summer of 2022.

Forsyth, who is 31, has been with Derby since 2013 and made his 200th appearance in Rams colours in last weekend’s 3-2 victory at Millwall.

The defender is a popular member of the squad and has shown great mental strength and character in recent seasons to bounce back from injury.

Curtis Davies

Central defender Curtis Davies has trigged a one-year extension to his contract, based on appearances, over the course of the current campaign.

Davies, who is 35 and joined Derby from Hull City three years ago, is now contracted with the club until the summer of 2021.

Tom Huddlestone

Talks have been ongoing in recent weeks between the club and representatives of Tom Huddlestone.

Neither a temporary nor a permanent agreement could be reached to extend his contract beyond the end of June at this time.

Given Huddlestone’s long-standing history with Derby County and his contribution both on and off the pitch, the club continues to remain in dialogue with the player and his representatives with the hope of coming to an agreement for him to remain with the club longer-term.

Ikechi Anya

Ikechi Anya will become a free agent upon the expiry of his contract at the end of June and has now departed with the club’s best wishes for the future.
