Derby County forward Mason Bennett has joined fellow Sky Bet Championship side Millwall on a permanent basis, with the terms of the agreement between the clubs being undisclosed.

Bennett spent the second half of the 2019/20 season on loan at The Den and made nine appearances for Gary Rowett’s side, scoring twice.

The Academy graduate, who is Derby’s youngster-ever player after making his debut at the age of 15 years and 99 days against Middlesbrough in October 2011, made 89 first-team appearances in total for the club and scored on six occasions.

Bennett, now 24, also holds the record for being the Rams’ youngest-ever goalscorer at the age of 16 years and 174 days old against Tranmere Rovers in the FA Cup Third Round in January 2013.

Derby County would like to thank Mason for his service throughout his time at the club and wish him every success in his future career.
