Derby County duo Kamil Jozwiak and Jason Knight were in international action on Sunday evening in the UEFA Nations League.

Jozwiak started in Poland’s 2-0 defeat to Italy in a tight Group A that sees just two points between Poland in third spot and Italy in first place with one group game remaining.

The Rams’ 22-year-old winger was replaced by Kamil Grosicki at half-time as he received his eighth senior cap.

Meanwhile, after being drafted into Republic of Ireland’s senior squad earlier in the week, Knight earned his second senior cap when he replaced Daryl Horgan in the 59th minute in a 1-0 defeat to Wales.

The 19-year-old was set to represent the Under-21s in their UEFA Euro Under-21s qualifiers, but moved up to Stephen Kenny’s squad at the end of last week.

The midfielder could win another cap on Wednesday night when Ireland face Bulgaria, who sit at the bottom of League B Group 4 and are just one point behind Ireland.

Elsewhere, Tom Lawrence was not included in the matchday squad for the game at Cardiff City Stadium.

Following the euphoric scenes earlier in the week, when his save in the penalty shoot-out booked Scotland’s place in the upcoming European Championships, goalkeeper David Marshall was an unused substitute in their 1-0 Nations League defeat against Serbia.
