Derby Drawn At Home To Salford City In Carabao Cup Round One

Derby County have been drawn at home to Sky Bet League Two side Salford City in Round One of the 2021/22 Carabao Cup.

The cup clash will be the first-ever competitive meeting between the clubs following Salford’s promotion to the EFL via the play-offs in 2019.

Salford are managed by former Derby Academy coach Gary Bowyer, who was appointed on a permanent basis in May after an impressive temporary stint in charge at the end of the 2020/21 campaign.

A total of 35 fixtures have been drawn for Round One, with teams drawn in Northern and Southern sections.

Matches scheduled to take place week commencing 9th August, however clubs are able to mutually agree an alternative date prior to the week commencing 9th August 2021, if preferred.
