Derby County midfielder Ravel Morrison has been called up to the Jamaica squad for their upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Panama.

Morrison, 28, will link up with the Reggae Boyz squad for their game on Sunday 5th September Independence Park, Kingston (5pm local time kick-off).

He will, however, not be available for their fixtures in Mexico (2nd September) and Costa Rica (8th September) after EFL clubs took the collective decision not to release players for international matches that are to be played in countries on the UK Government’s ‘red list’.

The EFL statement on the situation can be found by clicking here.

Morrison, previously capped by England at youth international level, has three senior caps to his name for Jamacia. He won his first cap last year, before picking up two more earlier this year.

Since joining as a free agent earlier this month, Morrison has made five appearances for Derby and scored once.
